As a tiny but important update to the last blog post, as usual some gremlins have taken control of some organisational aspects :-)

This means that the mentioned international meeting of 6-9 September could maybe take place more toward the end of this year.

So we shall return with news when there will be some, but for now, let the holidays (and summer, as much as possible) continue :-)

O mică, dar importantă actualizare relativ la nota precedentă de pe blog este că, așa cum se întâmplă de obicei, spiriduși au luat stapânire pe niște aspecte organizatorice :-)

Așa că menționata întâlnire internațională din 6-9 septembrie poate are loc mai spre sfârșitul anului dacă se organizează.

Deci vom reveni cu știri, dar pentru acum, să lăsăm să continue vacanța (și cât se poate de mult, vara) :-)

Egy kis, de fontos frissítés az előbbi blog jegyzettel kapcsolatban az, hogy mint sokszor megtörténik, kis lidércek vettek uralmukba egyes szervezési aspektusokat :-)

Így ez azt jelenti, hogy az említett szeptember 6-9-ikei nemzetközi torna tulajdonképpen az év vége fele talán sorra kerül majd.

Tehát majd ha vannak, hírekkel visszatérünk, de egyelőre hagyjuk folytatódjon a vakáció (és a nyár amennyire csak tud)  :-)

As it can be seen from the title, one doesn't dare mention the fact that gradually summer is coming to an end... One thing that would quite rightly attract even more animosity in this holiday mood :-) would be the mentioning of the fact that school and also the new competition season is about to start. Oops.

Well, the swimming pool shown on our picture was closed for a while for maintenance... and now that it re-opens, it will host the water polo Romania Cup between 20-22 September, another hugely positive development for this town and the revival of its water sports.

But before this, the boys will take part, between 6-9 September, at an international tournament organised in our hometown, in memoriam Tibor Jozsa Snr. We shall return with more details about this. Then several championships start again...

Until then, we wish the lads a continued perfect summer and good preparation, too for the new season!

După cum se vede din titlu, nu am îndrăznit să menționăm că treptat vara se termină... Altceva ce ar atrage chiar și mai multă animozitate în atmosfera de vacanță :-) ar fi menționarea faptului că începe curănd școala și sezonul nou de competiții.

Bazinul Olimpic ilustrat mai sus a fost închis pentru o perioadă de întreținere... și acum că aceasta se redeschide, va găzdui Cupa României la polo între 20-22 septembrie, încă un pas enorm pentru revitalizarea sporturilor pe apă în acest oraș.

Dar înainte de această competiție, pentru băieți va avea loc un turneu internațional in memoriam Tibor Jozsa Snr. între 6-9 septembrie. Ne vom întoarce cu detalii despe acest turneu. Apoi urmează iar mai multe campionate...

Până atunci, urăm băieților vară plăcută în continuare și pregătire bună pentru sezonul nou!

Mint a cím alapján megítélhető, nem mertük említeni, hogy lassan véget ér a nyár... Még valami, amitől megérdemelten plusz taslit kapnánk a vakációs hangulatban :) az annak említése lenne, hogy indul hamarosan a suli és az új verseny szezon is.

A fent látható medence kis ideig karbantartás miatt zárva volt... és megnyitása után majd a vízilabda Románia Kupa helyszíne lesz szeptember 20-22 között, a helyi vízisportok feléledéseben ismét fontos mérföldkövet jelentve.

De ezelőtt a srácoknak egy nemzetközi turnéjuk lesz, amelyet idősb Józsa Tibor emlékének szentelnek (szeptember 6-9). Erről szóló részletekkel hamarosan visszatérünk. Ezután pedig indul több bajnokság is...

Addig is kívánunk a srácoknak kellemes nyaralást és jó felkészülést az új szezonra!

After the conclusion of the junior national championships and a recent international tournament organised at Budapest with very nice results, some recent articles have been added to our Press page. Also, as the lads' hard work and achievements deserve accurate reporting, due to many key differences in press data, we provide the official pages where the information can be checked.

These, published at the end of July and beginning of August, can be found under the national championship heading in reverse chronological order (Népújság, Székelyhon) and towards the end of the page, under general articles (Központ, Székelyhon, and again Székelyhon).

As some key corrections are needed in the press data, and the articles greatly differ even between themselves on key information regarding these competitions, these can be cross-referenced for accuracy on the mentioned championships via the MVLSZ , BVLSZ federation pages and the h2opolo.ro & UVSE pages.

După terminarea campionatului național de juniori și recentul turneu internațional organizat la Budapesta cu rezultate foarte frumoase, câteva articole recente au fost adăugite la pagina noastră de presă (Press).
Totodată, pentru că munca grea și realizările băieților merită raportare cu acuratețe, din cauza a multor diferențe de date în presă, furnizăm și link-uri la paginile oficiale unde se pot găsi informațiile.

Acestea, publicate spre sfârșitul lunii iulie și începutul lui august, se pot găsi la secțiunea despre campionatul național (Népújság, Székelyhon) și mai jos, spre sfârșitul paginii la articole generale despre club (Központ, Székelyhon și iar Székelyhon).

Pentru că detaliile presei au nevoie de corecții, și articolele diferă major chiar și între ele în pivința informațiilor cheie legate de aceste competiții,  aceste date se pot regăsi pentru campionatele menționate pe paginile federațiilor MVLSZ, BLVSZ și pe pagina h2opolo.ro și UVSE.

Az ifi országos bajnokság véget érte és egy nemrégi, nagyon szép eredményekkel zárult Budapesten szervezett nemzetközi torna után megjelent pár sajtó cikket a sajtó (Press) oldalunkon tüntettünk fel.
Ugyanakkor, mivel a srácok kemény munkája és eredményeik helyes jelentéseket érdemelnek, a sajtóban talált számos adat eltérések miatt megadjuk a hivatalos oldalakat is, ahol az információk megtalálhatóak.

A július végén és augusztus elején megjelent cikkeket az országos bajnokságnak szentelt részen (Népújság, Székelyhon) és az oldal vége fele, a klubról megjelent általános cikkeknél lehet megtalálni (Központ, Székelyhon és ismét Székelyhon).

Mivel pár kulcs adat javítást igényel a sajtóban, és a cikkek még egymás között is jelentősen eltérnek a versenyekről szóló információkban, ezeket meg lehet találni az MVLSZ és BVLSZ szövetségek oldalán és a h2opolo.ro és UVSE oldalon.

Third place for the owls ● Locul trei pentru bufnițe ● Harmadik hely a baglyoknak

As mentioned in previous post, Szentes had hosted the amateur and pro old boys tournament last few days. There were 34 matches in 3 groups.

The team Transylvanian Owls, composed of coaches from both water polo clubs in our home town, plus others including the city's deputy mayor, have achieved third place in third group!

Congrats, owls :)  !

După cum am amintit în nota trecută, Szentes a găzduit turneul old boys cu echipe de amatori și profesioniști. Au fost 34 de meciuri in 3 grupe.

Echipa Transylvanian Owls (Bufnițe Transilvane) compus din antrenorii ambelor cluburi de polo din orașul nostru plus alții, inclusiv viceprimarul orașului, s-a clasat pe locul trei jucând în grupa trei!

Felicitări bufnițelor :) !

Meciurile au fost jucate în patru sferturi de 5 minute, limită de vârstă nu a fost, și citând sloganul organizatorilor, de la copii până la moarte :) oricine putea juca, dacă avea anduranța necesară. Organizatorii au subliniat că pe lângă polo pe apă și distracția a fost element obligatoriu al concursului.

Odihnă plăcută bufnițelor și spor la treabă în piscinele orașului nostru!

Mint ezelőtti bejegyzésünkben említettük, Szentesen a múlt hétvégén került sor a huszonegyedik vízilabda öregfiúk SAS-tornára, amelyre amatőr és profi csapatok is benevezhettek.

A mérkőzések 4x5 perces játék idővel zajlottak, amúgy tulajdonképpen korhatár nem volt, a szervezőket idézve gyerek kortól a halálig bárki jelentkezhetett, aki bírta szusszal. A játékokat a csapatok erősségére való tekintettel több csoportra osztották.

A csapat a marosvásárhelyi vízilabda klubok edzőiből is állt és megtalálhattuk a város alpolgármesterét is a játékosok között. Nem volt azonban itt protokoll, csak meló azaz vízilabda jutott ki bőven mindenkinek :)

Összesen 34 meccset játszottak a torna alatt, és a rendezvény felhívása alapján nem csak a vízilabda, hanem a szórakozás is kötelező alkotóelem volt...

A harmadik csoportban játszottak négy másik csapattal, amelyek nem kevésbé hangzatos nevekre hallgattak: e csoportban voltak bizony Bajnok Fókák, Gépállatok, klórozott medencében erejüket próbára tevő Édesvízi Planktonok és még Istenek is...

A srácok a harmadik hellyel büszkélkedhetnek a III. csoportban! Gratulálunk, baglyok!

Kívánunk kellemes pihenést a vízilabdától és szórakozástól kifáradt srácoknak és további minden jót a marosvásárhelyi uszodákban!

International old boys tournament ● Turneu internațional old boys ● Nemzetközi öregfiúk turné

In the Hungarian town of Szentes, Saturday/Sunday, an international old boys water polo tournament will take place. 

This is the 21st edition of the so-called SAS tournament, and it will see many amateur and non-amateur old boys teams taking part. And with many teams taking part, there will be a total of 34 matches played.

Our club president and coaches are also among the ones who travel from our home town to this event, so whilst summer weather is reaching new peaks of temperature, we wish them heated matches and lots of success (and fun!) at this tournament!

În orașul Szentes din Ungaria sâmbătă și duminică va avea loc un turneu internațional de polo pe apă ”old boys”.

Aceasta va fi a 21-a ediție a turneului SAS și va avea multe echipe de amatori și non-amatori participând în acest weekend. Și pentru că vor participa multe echipe, se vor juca în total 34 de meciuri.

Președintele clubului nostru și antrenori sunt între cei care pornesc la drum din orașul nostru spre acest turneu, și cum vara atinge noi maxime de temperatură, dorim tuturor și meciuri fierbinți, mult succes (dar și bună distracție!) la acest turneu!

Szentesen szombat-vasárnap nemzetközi öregfiúk turnéra kerül sor. 

Ez lesz bizony a SAS-torna huszonegyedik kiadása, és sok amatőr és non-amatőr csapat fog részt venni. Mivel sok csapat vesz részt, összesen 34 meccsre kerül majd sor!

Klubunk elnöke és edzőink is azok között vannak, akik indulnak városunkból e tornára a hétvégén - és mivel a nyár közben új hőmérsékleti maximumokat ütött meg, kívánunk nekik forró meccseket is és sok sikert (de sok jó szórakozást is) !

The team has just arrived home from an international tournament organised and hosted by Honved in Hungary.

The lads stayed in Budapest for a few days and with matches played against teams like UVSE, Honved and also team from British Columbia for example, it was to be a superb experience.

But on top of this, they also finished second, UVSE being at first place in the ranking, Honved being third.

So huge congrats to the team for the silver medal they brought home! And after a smooth journey home, wishing them a nice rest - as training sessions continue soon :-)

Echipa tocmai a sosit acasă din Ungaria de la un turneu internațional organizat și găzduit de către clubul Honved.

Băieții au petrecut câteva zile la Budapesta și au jucat meciuri împotriva unor echipe ca UVSE, Honved și de exemplu, echipă de tineret din Canada (British Columbia), fiind deci experiență superbă.

Dar pe deasupra, au și terminat pe locul doi, primii fiind UVSE și pe Honved pe locul trei.

Deci enorme felicitări echipei pentru medalia de argint cu care s-au reîntors acasă! Și după o călătorie fără probleme, le urăm și odihnă plăcută - pentru că antrenamentele continuă curând :-)

A csapat frissen érkezett meg Magyarországról egy, a Honvéd által szervezett nemzetközi turnéról.

A srácok pár napot Budapesten töltöttek tehát, és olyan csapatok ellen játszottak, mint az UVSE, Honvéd és például Brit Kolumbiából is volt vendégcsapat, így kitűnő élmény és tapasztalatszerzés volt.

De mindezek mellett, második helyen végeztek, első volt az újpesti UVSE és harmadik lett a Honvéd.

Így hatalmas gratulációk a csapatnak a hazahozott ezüst éremért! És egy problémamentes utazás után jó pihenést is kívánunk nekik, mert az edzések nemsokára folytatódnak :-)
