The countdown to the festive season, and of course to the start of school holidays :-), is beginning gradually. A small confession is also due, namely the blog admin, too is 'escaping' on holiday :-)...
In a quite happy mood, we are gradually closing a wonderful 2011 - and for our readers and supporters, countless thanks. Please find below our sincerest festive wishes to everybody via our little 'greeting card'.

Numărătoarea inversă pentru sărbători și desigur pentru vacanța de iarnă :-) începe treptat. O mică confesiune este faptul că și administratorul blogului 'evadează' în concediu :-)
Deci încheiem treptat în toane bune un 2011 superb - și pentru toți cititorii și suporterii noștri, exprimăm multe mulțumiri. Cu mica noastră 'carte poștală' mai jos, vă trimitem cele mai sincere urări pentru sărbători.

A visszaszámlálás az ünnepekre és a téli vakációra :-) lassan elkezdődik. Apró vallomás, hogy a blog admin is "elmenekül" vakációra :-).
Így fokozatosan jókedvvel zárunk egy nagyon szép 2011-es esztendőt. Olvasóinknak, szurkolóinknak és támogatóinknak szívből köszönünk mindent, és egy általunk készített kis 'képeslappal' szeretnénk küldeni ünnepi jókívánságainkat mindenkinek.

After the previous week's championship matches, the end-of-year feeling starts to gradually take over.

Not that the teams and coach Csaba Gagyi will have an idle time :), as there are many more training sessions coming, very soon hopefully to be held in the newly covered pool, and there may be other matches squeezed into this year's calendar.

However, one starts to look back at 2011... and what a year it was. The very young club had a truly great year and their amazing dedication and extremely hard, passionate work have led to many results.

As just a few highlights, Aquasport won the Turbo Cup, a silver at Slovenski Water Polo. Also performed wonderfully at the still ongoing Budapest Diapolo championship that has a group of extremely strong Hungarian teams. Aquasport also had a brilliant start at the regional championships organised by the Hungarian Water Polo Federation and at the Transylvania Cup that started recently.

The absolutely vital bit of infrastructure represented by the covered Olympic size pool is nearly ready, it is, even after that many blog articles about it :), hard to describe its importance. Again thanks to all who turned this intor reality.

The Regional Championship will see the younger team encounter on 7 January the Hungarian teams of Csabai Csirkefogók Vízilabda Klub and Zempléni Vízilabda Club in the Hungarian town of Békéscsaba.

The Diapolo Championship continues for the older team on 25 February, where they meet BVSC-Zugló Diapolo.

The Transylvania Cup also continues and there will be certainly more tournaments in the very near future where the teams will get our pulses racing again.

Congratulations to everybody at Aquasport and again special thanks to all the supporters of the club and all those who follow our life with interest. We'll be back with seasonal wishes, too very shortly :)

După meciurile din săptămâna trecută la două campionate, sentimentul de sfârșit de an începe să domine treptat.

Dar aceasta nu înseamnă că echipele și antrenorul Csaba Gagyi vor avea o perioadă pasivă :), pentru că vor urma încă multe antrenamente, curând probabil în noua piscina acoperită, și vor mai urma alte meciuri în calendarul acestui an.

Totuși, putem arunca o privire la anul 2011... și ce an a fost... Clubul foarte tânăr a avut un an chiar superb și nivelul lor de dedicație, munca depusă cu mare intensitate și pasiune a dat rezultate.

Numai ca exemplu, Aquasport a câștigat Cupa Turbo, argint la Slovenski Water Polo. Totodată a fost performanță superbă la campionatul Diapolo care este în desfășurare la Budapesta, și care are echipe extrem de puternice din Ungaria. Totodată clubul a avut un start excelent la campionatele regionale organizate de Federația Ungară de Polo pe Apă și la Cupa Transilvania care a început recent.

Bazinul olimpic acoperit, care este o piesă de infrastructură absolut vitală, este aproape gata, și importanța acesteia, chiar și după multe articole de pe acest blog, este dificil de descrisă. Din nou mulțumiri la toți care au realizat acest lucru.

Echipa mai tânără va întâlni la Campionatul Regional două echipe din Ungaria, pe data de 7 ianuarie, și anume Csabai Csirkefogók Vízilabda Klub și Zempléni Vízilabda Club, în orașul Békéscsaba din Ungaria.

Campionatul Diapolo continuă pentru echipa mai în vârstă pe data de 25 Februarie, unde ei vor intâlni BVSC-Zugló Diapolo.

Cupa Transilvania continuă și ea, și mai urmează alte turnee unde echipele ne vor accelera pulsul...

Felicitări la toți cei de la Aquasport, și mulțumiri speciale la adresa tuturor suporterilor clubului și la toți care ne urmăresc cu interes. Ne vom întoarce curând pe această pagină și cu urări de sezon :)

A múlt heti mérkőzések után, amelyek két bajnokság keretében zajlottak, az év végi hangulat lassan kezd felülkerekedni.

Ez persze távolról sem jelenti azt, hogy a játékosok és az edző, Gagyi Csaba, passzív időszakot kezd el :), mivel még sok edzés lesz, nemsokára remélhetőleg az újonnan elkészülő fedett medencében, és még sorra kerülhetnek meccsek ebben az évben.

Mégis, visszatekinthetünk a 2011-es évre... és micsoda év volt... A rendkívül fiatal klubnak valóban szép éve volt, és odaadásuk, kemény, kitartással és passzióval végzett munkájuk sok eredményt produkált.

Kiemelve pár példát, a klub megnyerte a Turbo Kupát, ezüstöt hozott haza a Slovenski Water Polo bajnokságról. Ugyanakkor nagyon szépen szerepelt a budapesti Diapolo bajnokságon, amely még folyamatban van és amelyben rendkívül erős csapatok szerepelnek. Ugyanakkor az MVLSZ által szervezett területi bajnokságon és a nemrég kezdődött Transzilvánia Kupán is nagyon szépen indultak.

A fedett medence, amely egy létfontosságú infrastruktúra, majdnem készen áll, és ennek fontossága, még ezen blogon való többszöri említés után is nehezen írható le. Köszönet ismét mindazoknak, akik ezt megvalósították.

A fiatalabb csapat január 7-ikén a területi bajnokságon a Csabai Csirkefogók Vízilabda Klub és Zempléni Vízilabda Klub csapataival játszik majd Békéscsabán.

Az idősebbek számára a Diapolo bajnokság folytatódik február 25-ikén, ahol a BVSC-Zugló Diapolo csapatával játszanak.

A Transzilvánia Kupa is folytatódik, és még lesznek turnék, ahol a csapatok majd felgyorsítják pulzusunkat...

Gratulálunk mindenkinek az Aquasportnál, és külön köszönettel tartozunk a klub szurkolóinak és támogatóinak, mindazoknak akik érdeklődéssel követik életünket. Nemsokára visszatérünk ezen oldalon ünnepi üdvözleteinkkel is.

Splendid day at regionals ● O zi splendidă la campionatul regional ● Szép nap a területi bajnokságon

Today at the regional championship, Aquasport's younger team had another eventful day, with two matches against ZF Eger (from Hungary) and Viitorul Cluj (from Romania). 

After the usual logistics that made the lads and their coach, Csaba Gagyi, reach the Hungarian city of Baja, the day for them really got under way at 11:00AM local time. 

The match with ZF Eger was won by Aquasport with the final score of 8-5, after a heart-pumping battle that can be seen from the score of each quarter: 1-2, 1-1, 3-1 and then again 3-1 for Aquasport's youngsters. The detailed match stats are here.

There was an opportunity for a short rest and recharging of batteries :), as the second match with Viitorul Cluj followed at 4:00PM.

This second encounter, too was won by Aquasport, with the final score of 9-8. It is a leitmotif that the lads' matches are real adrenalin rushes and very tense, well, this match was no exception, the score in each quarter having been 2-3, 0-2, 4-1, 3-2 for Aquasport. Hence the last two quarters really turned the match upside down, to the great thrill of their supporters. Match details are here.

They are travelling home as we write these lines, and apart from the customary wishes for a quiet and seamless trip, we really extend wholehearted congratulations for a superb performance - and a thank you to all involved teams for a truly wonderful day at this championship. 

Astăzi la campionatul regional, echipa mai tânără a clubului Aquasport a avut încă o zi plină de evenimente, cu două meciuri împotriva echipelor ZF Eger din Ungaria şi Viitorul Cluj.

După obişnuitele aranjamente de călătorie care i-a făcut pe jucători şi antrenorul Csaba Gagyi să ajungă cu bine la oraşul Baja din Ungaria, ziua a început de-a dreptul la 11:00 dimineaţa, ora locală, cu primul meci.

Meciul cu ZF Eger a fost câştigat de către Aquasport, cu scorul final de 8-5, după o bătălie excitantă care se poate vedea din rezultatele sferturilor: 1-2, 1-1, 3-1 şi apoi iar 3-1 pentru tinerii de la Aquasport. Statisticile detaliate ale meciului sunt aici.

Ei au avut un mic răgaz şi o oportunitate de a-şi reîncărca bateriile :), pentru că al doilea meci cu Viitorul Cluj urma la ora 4 după-masa. 

Şi această întâlnire a fost câştigată de către Aquasport, cu scorul final de 9-8. Este deja un fel de leitmotiv că meciurile băieţilor sunt saturate cu adrenalină şi sunt foarte tense... şi nici acest meci nu a fost o excepţie, după cum se vede din scorurile sferturilor: 2-3, 0-2, 4-1, 3-2 pentru Aquasport. Deci ultimele două sferturi au răsturnat complet situaţia meciului, spre marea bucurie a suporterilor.Detaliile meciului sunt aici.

Ei sunt în drum spre casă în timp ce scriem aceste rânduri, dar pe lângă obişnuita dorinţă ca ei să se bucure de o călătorie lină şi sigură, trebuie să exprimăm cu toată inima şi felicitări pentru o performanţă superbă - şi mulţumiri la toate echipele care s-au întâlnit azi pentru o zi splendidă la acest campionat.

Ma a területi bajnokság keretén belül az Aquasport fiatalabb csapatának ismét egy eseményekkel telített napja volt, két meccset játszva a ZF Eger és a Viitorul Kolozsvár csapataival.

A szokásos utazások után, amelyek szerencsésen eljuttatták a játékosokat és Gagyi Csaba edzőt a magyarországi Baja városába, a nap helyi idő szerint reggel 11-kor kezdődött el meccsek szempontjából.

A ZF Eger csapatával játszott mérkőzést az Aquasport nyerte 8-5-re, izgalmas csata után, amit lehet látni a negyedek eredménytáblázatából: 1-2, 1-1, 3-1 és ismét 3-1 az Aquasport fiataljai számára. A meccs részletes statisztikái itt láthatóak.

Volt esély kis pihenésre és az energiaforrások újratöltésére :), mert a második meccs következett délután négykor a Viitorul Kolozsvár csapatával. 

Ezt a mérkőzést is az Aquasport nyerte 9-8-ra. Immár visszatérő motívum, hogy a srácok meccsei adrenalinnal telítettek és szorosak, nos, ez a meccs sem volt kivétel, amint látható a negyedek eredményeiből: 2-3, 0-2, 4-1, 3-2 az Aquasport javára. Így az utolsó két negyedben teljesen megfordult a meccs állása, a drukkerek nagy örömére. A meccs részletes adatai itt olvashatóak.

Miközben ezen sorok íródnak, a csapat úton van hazafele, és a szokásos sima hazautazással kapcsolatos jókívánsagok mellett tiszta szívből gratulálunk is csodás teljesítményükhöz - és köszönettel tartozunk a ma egymással játszott csapatoknak egy nagyon szép napért ezen a bajnokságon.

Diapolo Friday ● Vineri la Diapolo ● Diapolo péntek

As you may have noticed, the usual calendar of the Diapolo championship had a special twist this week. The match with Crisul Oradea was held on Friday instead of the usual Saturdays, as both clubs are also involved with their younger players in matches on Saturday at the regional championship in Hungary.

As mentioned before, the relationship between the Crisul Oradea (who were also the hosts on this occasion) and Aquasport is a very special and long-standing one. Therefore, as it happens in such cases, both teams metaphorically speaking had to leave their friendships at the edge of the pool - everything inside the pool was 'strictly professional' :-)

The match, in a highly unexpected manner, also proved to be a gruelling and hard to imagine psychological trial, too for our lads and they performed in a way that fills one with a deep sense of respect. For example, despite Aquasport's players being sent off a total of 13 times (!), they remained admirably unbroken under the surreal pressure piled upon them, and they were leading in the first three quarters of the match (Oradea's players had two sending-offs in total).

Despite these circumstances, only in the very last quarter was Aquasport overtaken by just two goals in the end, the final score ending up  8-6 for Crisul Oradea.

Thanks again to everybody for a huge event that was memorable and unusual in too many ways, and one that managed to keep pulse rates up even before getting to the weekend's matches. We are wishing success  for the Saturday matches in Hungary.

One also wishes a safe journey home for the older team that undoubtedly can be proud of a very rare and admirable strength of spirit, that was proven today in very special circumstances.

Cum s-a putut observa, calendarul campionatului Diapolo din săptămâna aceasta a avut o mică modificare. Meciul cu Crișul Oradea a fost jucat vineri la Oradea în loc de obișnuitele zile de sâmbătă, fiindcă ambele cluburi sunt prezente sâmbătă cu jucătorii mai tineri la campionatul regional în Ungaria.

Cum am mai menționat, relația între Crișul Oradea (care a fost și gazda meciului de astăzi) și Aquasport este una foarte specială și istorică. Așadar, cum se întâmplă în astfel de situaţii, ambele echipe metaforic vorbind au trebuit să lase prieteniile lor la marginea bazinului - și tot ce s-a desfășurat în bazin a trebuit să fie 'strict profesional' :-)

Meciul a devenit, în mod neaşteptat, un test psihologic extrem de dur şi dificil de imaginat - jucătorii clubului nostru au dat o performanţă demnă de tot respectul. De exemplu, cu toate că ei au suferit în total 13 eliminări (!), au rămas admirabil de neînfrânţi psihic, conducând în primele trei sferturi ale meciului în pofida presiunii sureale (orădenii au avut două eliminări în total).

Chiar şi în aceste condiţii, abia în ultimul sfert s-a răsturnat scorul, Aquasport fiind învins cu numai două goluri, scorul final fiind 8-6 pentru Crişul Oradea.

Mulțumiri la toți pentru un eveniment memorabil și neobișnuit din multe privinţe, care a ridicat pulsul chiar înainte de meciurile din acest weekend, și dorim mult success pentru meciurile de sâmbătă din Ungaria.

Totodată dorim călătorie plăcută spre casă jucătorilor noştri care, fără dar şi poate, pot fi mândri de o tărie de spirit extrem de rară care a fost dovedită astăzi în circumstanţe speciale.

Mint észrevehető, ezen a héten a Diapolo bajnokság szokásos naptárában kis módosítás állt be. A Crișul Oradea klubbal játszott mérkőzésre Nagyváradon a mai pénteki napon került sor, mivel mindkét klub szombaton Magyarországon a területi bajnokságban is játszik a fiatalabb csapataikkal.

Mint említettük, a nagyváradi Crișul (egyben a mai meccs hazigazdája is) és az Aquasport közötti kapcsolat egészen különleges és sok évre tekint vissza. Így, ahogyan ilyen esetben szokott lenni, mindkét csapat képletesen szólva a medence szélén kellett hagyja a barátságokat - és minden, ami a medencében történt, 'szigorúan profi' affér kellett legyen.

A meccs nem várt módon egy nehezen elképzelhető és rendkívül kemény pszichológiai megpróbáltatássá is vált - de az Aquasport játékosai különösen tiszteletreméltó módon helyt álltak. Példáként említve, noha sokkoló módon összesen 13 (!) kiállítást ítéltek meg ellenük, lelkileg töretlenül mégis az első három negyedben vezettek ilyen szürreális nyomás ellenére is (a váradiakat összesen kétszer állították ki).

Még ilyen körülmények közepette is, csak az utolsó negyedben fordult az eredmény, Aquasportot végül mindössze két góllal győzték le, a végeredmény pedig 8-6 lett Nagyvárad javára.

Köszönet mindenkinek egy több értelemben vett emlékezetes és szokatlan eseményért, amely pulzusunkat felgyorsította már jóval a hétvége meccsei előtt - és kívánunk sok sikert a szombati mérkőzésekhez Magyarországon.

Ugyanakkor kívánunk a játékosoknak jó utat hazafele, és nagyon büszkék lehetnek a mai nap rendkívüli körülményei közepette bebizonyított ritka lelkierejükre.

As everybody is preparing for the journeys and matches mentioned in the previous blog entry, there are some really good news, too regarding the much hoped-for (and here quite much mentioned :-) ) indoors pool.

As a contributor kindly posted on the club's Facebook page, the first glimpse of the covered pool shows the tent fully deployed and it seems the finishing touches are being done inside.

So, after much and absolutely understandable excitement, the teams' access to this standard size pool seems imminent. Thanks again to everybody who made all this possible in our town.

În timp ce toată lumea se pregăteşte pentru călătoriile şi meciurile menţionate în articolul precedent de pe acest blog, sunt şi nişte ştiri superbe legate de bazinul acoperit, de care se leagă multe speranţe şi care a fost  mult menţionat aici :-).

Cum a fost publicat pe pagina Facebook a clubului de către un contribuitor amabil, pimele imagini ale bazinului arată cortul complet instalat şi se pare că deja lucrările de finisare continuă înăuntru.

Deci, după multe excitaţii care se pot înţelege uşor, accesul echipelor la acest bazin olimpic pare iminent. Multe mulţumiri încă o dată la adresa tuturor care au făcut acest lucru posibil în oraşul nostru.

Miközben mindenki az előző blog cikkben említett utakra és meccsekre készülődik, még nagyon jó hírek vannak a sok reménységgel követett (és itt sokszor említett :-) ) fedett medencével kapcsolatban.

Egy kedves közreműködő által a klub Facebook oldalára feltett képen látszik, hogy a sátor teljesen elkészült már, és a belső munkálatokkal utolsó stádiumba értek már a medence munkálatai.

Így sok és teljesen érthető izgalom után, a csapatok hozzáférése ezen olimpiai méretű medencéhez már úgymond elkerülhetetlen. Ismét sok köszönet mindenkinek, aki ezt városunkban lehetővé tette.

Action-packed week ● Săptămână plină de acțiune ● Akciódús hét

The end-of-year great countdown to winter holidays :-) is fully under way in schools. However, the world outside school, too is promising to bring a very action-packed second half of the week for the club.

Two championships appear in the calendar as we go towards the weekend - the team in the older age group has the Diapolo championship coming up on Friday, while the younger players are having the regional championship in their agenda on Saturday with two matches.

The relationship between Aquasport and the Crisul Oradea club (of great tradition in water polo) is a very special and long-standing one, as one may have gathered from previous blog entries, too. They not only helped tremendously with Aquasport's training by giving access to their facilities and training together, but there are also very long-standing friendships and we have supporters in both cities who have mutually rooted for the teams over the years.

Therefore on Friday, the match with them at Oradea will be undoubtedly not only a particularly exciting event, but also one with a very special atmosphere and undoubtedly a great spectacle of sportsmanship.

Aquasport's younger team will be playing in the Hungarian city of Baja on Saturday, meeting the teams of ZF-Eger and Viitorul Cluj, hence another very busy day for the lads.

So travel plans 'go live' already on Thursday, and we all wish very smooth journeys and lots of success to all the players and their coaches.

Marea numărătoare inversă :-) de sfârșit de an este în plină desfășurare în școli. Dar și lumea din afara școlii aduce multă acțiune în a doua jumătate a săptămânii pentru club.

Două campionate apar în calendar, în timp ce progresăm spre sfârșitul acestei săptămâni - vineri, echipa în grupa mai mare de vârstă joacă în campionatul Diapolo, iar sâmbătă jucătorii mai tineri au meciuri în campionatul regional în Ungaria.

Relația între Aquasport și clubul Crișul Oradea (aceasta din urmă fiind cu mare tradiție in polo pe apă) este una foarte specială și una de lungă durată, cum s-a putut vedea și din unele articole precedente de pe blog. Ei nu numai au ajutat enorm cu antrenamentul echipelor clubului nostru, prin accesul la facilitățile lor și prin antrenamente ținute împreună, dar totodată există prietenii care persistă de mulți ani și totodată suporteri în ambele orașe care, pe parcursul anilor, au susținut ambele cluburi în mod reciproc.

Așadar, meciul de vineri de la Oradea va fi nu numai un eveniment extraordinar, dar și unul cu o atmosferă foarte specială și un mare spectacol de sportivitate.

Echipa mai tânără a clubului nostru va juca sâmbătă în orașul Baja din Ungaria, întâlnind echipele ZF-Eger și Viitorul Cluj - deci o zi intensă pentru băieți.

Planurile de călătorie demarează așadar deja în ziua de joi, și urăm tuturor jucătorilor și antrenorilor călătorii plăcute și mult succes.

A nagy év végi visszaszámlálás alaposan folyamatban van a sulikban :-), de a sulin kivüli világ is akciódús napokat hoz a klub életébe a hét második felében.

Két bajnokság bukkan fel a naptárban, miközben a hét vége fele haladunk - pénteken az idősebb korcsoport csapata a Diapolo bajnokságban játszik, míg a fiatalabb játékosoknak a területi bajnokság keretében lesznek meccseik.

Az Aquasport és a nagy vízilabda tradícióval rendelkező Crisul Oradea klub kapcsolata nagyon különleges és sok éve fennáll, mint egyes korábbi blog bejegyzésekben is látható volt. A nagyváradi klub nem csak csapataink edzéséhez nyújtott felmérhetetlen segítséget a bázisukhoz való hozzáféréssel és együtt tartott edzésekkel, de ugyanakkor régi barátságok léteznek és drukkerek mindkét városban, akik kölcsönösen szurkoltak az évek során mindét klubnak.

Így a pénteken Nagyváradon velük játszandó mérkőzés nem csak egy rendkívül izgalmas esemény lesz mindenki számára, hanem különleges hangulatú sport eseményre számíthatunk.

A klub fiatalabb játékosai szombaton a magyarországi Baja városában mérkőznek meg a ZF-Eger és a Viitorul Cluj csapatokkal, így intenzív hétvegéjük lesz a srácoknak.

Az útitervek gyakorlatba ültetődnek már csütörtökön, így kívánunk a játékosoknak és edzőknek kellemes utazásokat és sok sikert.

A pool's adventures continue ● Aventurile unui bazin continuă ● Egy medence kalandjai folytatódnak

As previously mentioned, huge expectations surround the covering of the Olympic sized pool that would become the main training base.

The works at the Weekend Complex are continuing very well - construction work essentially completed and the tent is arriving, to be fully fitted in a few days. So things like lighting installations are left to do.

The need and level of expectation surrounding this pool was recently summed up quite well by a local paper, where they described the situation of water polo in Targu Mures as a sport 'in exile'... as water polo teams need to use any opportunity they can to train away from home where they can access standard size facilities.

Hence while one is extremely happy to see the progress made, we must also re-iterate here the truly invaluable help given by Oradea and others, making the club's access to such facilities possible. Also, thanks are due to the local authorities who make an entirely new era in this city's water polo begin soon. The hope is still alive that at least for sports, the pool can be accessed before the end of the year.

Cum am mai relatat, mari aşteptări sunt legate de acoperirea bazinului olimpic care va deveni baza principală de antrenament.

Lucrările au continuat foarte bine la Complexul Weekend - partea de construcţie este de fapt terminată şi soseşte deja cortul (sau balonul) care va acoperi bazinul în câteva zile. Rămâne de exemplu iluminatul de instalat.

Nivelul de necesitate şi de aşteptare a fost recent descris de un ziar local, unde au depictat situaţia polo-ului pe apă în Târgu Mureş ca un sport în "exil"... considerând că echipele de polo pe apă trebuie să se folosească de orice oportunitate pentru a se antrena departe de casă în piscine standard.

Deci în timp ce ne putem bucura de progres, trebuie să menţionăm încă o dată ajutorul nepreţuit oferit de poloiştii din Oradea şi alţii, făcând accesul clubului posibil la bazele lor de antrenament. Mulţumiri şi autorităţilor locale care deschid curând o nouă eră în polo-ul pe apă mureşean.
